The Kelly blue book value of a car is an estimate of how much your car is worth based on the make of your car, the age of your car, the mileage of your car, the features that the car came with originally, and any new improvements you have made if it is an older car.  The paragraph

If you"re looking to buy a used car, it is very important to look at the Kelley blue book value for your area first so that you do not pay when more than the car is believed to be worth.  The Kelley blue book values are available for dealer values and for bought by owner values.  If you are buying on eBay, you can easily see on the listing whether the car is being sold by a private party or a dealer.  When you use the Kelley blue book value site, make sure to go to the right part of the site that shows either the "dealers value" or the  “for sale by owner” value, depending on who you are buying a car from.

One thing that makes a car valuable to a non-smoker is that the card is not smell like cigarette smoke.  Many car dealers will list non-smoking right on the listing.  If it is important to you for the car to smell smoke-free, make sure to ask the seller a question if there is no indication of whether the car was a smoking or non-smoking car.  Most sellers are very happy to answer your questions.

When buying a used car on eBay, make sure you take into account how much it will cost to ship the vehicle to you.  Often times the dealer will have companies all lined up so you can just get a quote from them.  Other times you will be on your own to find a shipper.  I have shipped a lot of furniture across country since I live in an area that does not have a lot of antique furniture.  I found that paying a little extra for shipping was really worth not having to deal with the headache of damaged merchandise later on.  The best thing about buying any large item on eBay is that you get a large selection of items and can find exactly what you want often at a lower price.

Where I live there is one kind of car that is very popular; this car was good in all weather and looked very environmentally friendly.  When I went to buy this car I found that a used car salesman was importing these cars from other areas of the country where they were not so popular.  He could ask for a premium on these popular cars here, and get a good deal on them from somewhere else.  So eBay may save you a lot of money just by buying something from an area that has a glut of the item you are looking for such as a specific type of used cars that is very popular or useful in your area.
